I Forgot Something | Memento Mori 8x10 Print
This piece was inspired by 1800s mourning watercolor paintings. They were a typical project for schoolgirls who painted and embroidered the macabre imagery onto silk. Common themes included monuments, urns and of course, a weeping willow tree. However, they did not often include a skeleton crawling out of a grave.
